WDM-based for Windows 98/98-SE
- Ensure to have the Windows 98/98-SE
(Second Edition) CD-ROM disc inside the drive.
- Insert the 1394-to-Go card into a CarbBus
PCMCIA slot. Recommend to use the TOP slot if two PC cards are
inserted.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. The
drivers are part of the Windows 98/98-SE Release.
- Confirm that the 1394-to-Go card is
properly installed by running the System Properties from the Control
Panel. The card should be recognized as "NEC Firewarden OHCI
Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller" under "1394 Bus Controller"
from the Device Manager.
- Ensure to have the Windows 98/98-SE
(Second Edition) CD-ROM disc inside the drive.
- Plug in your DV camcorder through the
i.Link cable.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. The
drivers for the DV camcorder are part of Windows 98-SE Release.
- Confirm that the DV camcorder is properly
configured by running the System Properties from the Control Panel.
It should be recognized as "Microsoft DV Camcera and VCR"
under "Imaging Device" from the Device Manager.
- Insert the Total Capture driver CD-ROM
disc into the drive, run the SETUP.EXE.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to
complete the installation.
WDM-based for Windows 2000
- Ensure to have the Windows 2000 CD-ROM disc inside the drive.
- Insert the 1394-to-Go card into a CarbBus PCMCIA slot. Recommend
to use the TOP slot if two PC cards are inserted.

Windows 2000 Release.
