FAQS

How do I know which PAL TV tuner to purchase?
Our current PAL TV tuner supports B/G or I (UK only). Please check your local channel for support.

What does the little connector with a coaxial one end and the mini jack on the other end do?
The connector is the CATV (cable TV) adapter. It connects cable to TV tuner for CATV channel reception.

After clicking the "Scan Now" button, I don't get all the channels as expected.
You can slow down the scanning speed to pick up more "good" channels by adding a line (AutoScanDelay=200) under [TunerSelect] section in the MargiVid.INI file, located in c:\Windows folder. Note that the the delay is in milliseconds to determine whether the channel is good or bad. Default is 10 mSecs.

What is the range of the base unit if it's at your house how far can u go before the tuner in my lap top won't work?
The TV tuner is similar to the TV antenna that you buy at the local store. The range varies due to the interference of the signal. In an open area, one can go as far as he can.

If I plug it into my cabble can I watch cable on my laptop?
Yes.

My friend says it's like a radio and you can always watch tv were ever you go is this ture?
Yes.

What is the best laptop to get for this product?
We recommend laptop with either ATI, Neomagic or Chips & Technologies display adapter. TV-to-Go is NOT compatible with Trident, S3 or Silicon Motion display adapter.

It seems from the information on your site that the Margi NTSC TV Tuner can receive signals either from its "rabbit ears" antenna or from a standard external cable or external antenna input (through a coaxial cable). Is this true?
Yes, the "rabbit ears' antenna allows to scan the LOCAL channels. The external cable (coaxial cable) going into the TV tuner allows to view CABLE channels.
