The following is the utility to check for the VGA/VPE driver to
see if it supports 16bit VPE (Video Port Extension) Port Width for
the WDM-based driver.
Installation Information:
Run DDTest, click on Connect then click on Video Port. The Connection
Info list should contain several entries with Port Width of 16.
If you see a Port Width of 8 then your VGA/VPE driver DOES NOT support
16bit. Check with the VGA provider and/or your notebook manufacturer
for an updated driver.

The following is the utility to obtain better performance by enabling
DMA for notebooks equipped with Texas Instruments (TI) PCMCIA socket
controllers.
Installation Information:
Extract DMA.exe into a temporary folder. DMA can be enabled by merging
the DMAON.REG file with the Registry. To merge a file simply double-click
on the REG file. If you encounter any problems, DMA can be disabled
by merging the DMAOFF.REG file.
