How do I know if my notebook is compatible
with your Capture-to-Go card?
It is important to know if your notebook is Zoomed Video (ZV) enabled
in order to use our product. This can be done by either checking
the notebook's User Manual or contacting its manufacturer. You can
verify your notebook by checking our Systems
Compatibility ZV notebooks list especially the matrix at the
top of the list.
How do I go about to write up my own
capture application?
Our current capture drivers are fully compatible with Microsoft
Video for Windows Interface. There is a sample application called
"VIDCAP.EXE" from the SDK that you can refer to for instructions
on how to create your own capture application.
I want to capture the
320x240 video at 30fps (frames per second). Can I be able to do
that?
At 320x240 resolution, you are capable of capturing up to 30fps
but there might be some limitation such as low memory buffer, system
performance, and data transfer of the hard drive, that can cause
to loose some frames. There are some tips that we recommend to increase
the frame rate, and there are:
Enable the DMA for the hard drive by going into
the Control Panel...System...Device Manager...Disk Drivers...Generic
IDE Disk TypeXX or related to your hard drive...Settings tab...check
the DMA. Ensure all applications are closed prior enabling the DMA
since the system will prompt for a reboot.
Reduce the window desktop resolution and color
mode to achieve move memory buffer for storage.
Close unused applications to free up system memory
in the background.
I have a notebook that
comes with an on-board capture device instead of your Capture-to-Go
PC card. Can I get support since the capture application was released
by MARGI?
We recommend that you contact the notebook manufacturer for support
since our current driver (posted on our web site) only supports
the Capture-to-Go PCMCIA card.
My notebook is equipped
with TRIDENT display controller, how can I get your Capture-to-Go
card to work with it?
Due to the driver incompatibility between our Capture-to-Go and
the TRIDENT drivers, we are unable to pass the video through the
Zoomed Video (ZV) port for display.
Does the Capture-to-Go
card support TWAIN format?
No, our current driver does not support TWAIN format. Please contact
us if there is a high demand in supporting this format.
How come I can adjust
the Y-axis in the "Video Window Adjustments" option but not on the
X-axis?
This is due to incompatible display driver for adjusting the X-axis.
